A Letter from Mary
Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Dear Campers,
As I look outside the window I can see the snow gently falling. The horses are happily munching on hay. The farm looks like a snowy winter wonderland.
Here are a few photos of the snow that were taken recently. I’ve got some more to get off my camera…I’ll try to get them up next week for you.
Last week I was at the World Horse Expo in Harrisburg, PA. It was a grand event and I had a wonderful time. I saw a stunning performance with several riders…the one that really got my attention was Tommy Turvey (a.k.a. – “The Extreme Rider”). Have you ever hear of him? Here’s a link to his web site.
I even saw a horse jump over fire. WOW! What a show.
I hope you’re all well! I’m off to go skiing this weekend.
Your friend in camping,
Mary

Our dear friend, Lakota, was written up in the Horseman’s Yankee Pedlar. You can read about it in the February issue’s “A Salute to Camp Horses” or
