Camp Life
life on the farm is a hoot
If you really want to know what summer camp life is like, just look at these smiles. We think they tell the story pretty well. Whether the campers are riding horses, playing tennis, camping out, splashing in the pond...wherever you find our campers, you find smiling faces!
Campers Live in Tents
Hot dog! Kids have all kinds of fun at summer camp. Forrestel strives to make each day something special and fun. Come join us around the camp-fire.
Campers live in large cabin-like tents. They are on wooden platforms which are off the ground. Most tents house 6 campers and 2 counselors. Every tent has at least one counselor.
The bathroom and showers are nearby and have hot water as well as a night light. The N.Y.S. Public Health Department conducts an unannounced annual inspection of the camp and we are accredited by the American Camp Association.
We Eat Good Food
Food at camp is excellent – farm fresh and home cooked. Both lunch and dinner have salads and vegetables as well as plenty of meat, pasta, milk, juice and dessert (vegetarians don’t go hungry). Cold milk and fresh fruit are offered nightly as a pre-bedtime snack. Oh, and you haven’t lived until you try Mary’s homemade chicken pie.
